At Lema, our rose water is obtained by double distillation of rose petals from Rosa Damascena. Rose water contains antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Therefore, rose water has been shown to soothe inflammation, hydrate the skin, reduce skin redness, and aid in the process of wound healing. Rose water can alleviate eczema, acne, and rosacea. The antioxidants in rose water are powerful in reducing skin cell aging which is caused by UV exposure from the sun. Natural rose water is used in cosmetics for cleaning, refreshing, hydrating, and perfuming the skin. 500 fresh inflorescences are needed to make one kilogram of rose water.
